Transparent, powerful, dynamic fuzz that sustains the note and maintains clarity

The Skreddy Pedals™ Juicy Pig is another modification of the circa 1976 "rams head" Big Muff Pi*. It is designed to enhance the clarity of the signal to provide all the gain and sustain of the original but with less buzz-saw grind and more amp-like transparency.

Works even better with humbucker-equipped guitars; features a less-tightened low end, more natural frequency response, and more of a liquid sustain that grabs the guitar's frequency characteristic instead of adding its own

* The term "Big Muff Pi" is only being used for comparison and is owned by our lovely friends at Electro-Harmonix who invented the circuit and built its worthy reputation

Sustain and power with better transparency and less buzz-saw grind than a typical muff design

This pig will propel your playing and sounds more like an amp on the edge of meltdown than a fuzz pedal.

Near-endless sustain coupled with detailed string articulation and low-end transparency, melds with and bonds with your essential guitar tone, sustains and compresses yet sounds dynamic too.

Power

Regular 9v negative ground, no special power requirements. 9v battery is not included. If you use a battery, then remember to un-plug the input cable from the pedal’s input jack when not in use to prevent draining (or you can also just plug in a power-supply, which disconnects the battery).

You may supply external power through an AC adapter. All Skreddy Pedals accept the industry-standard 9v DC plug (5.5mm barrel x 2.1mm center coax), negative tip. Please use a quality, regulated, filtered power supply.

Ian

Just a quick email about the Juicy pig. I got one from Joe's pedals here in the UK last year and love it. It works with different pickups really well and sounds damn fine with each. I've had muffs before but never with quite this much sustain, pure liquid loveliness! It has more gain than I'll ever need, generally I only have the gain up a third at most, then hit it with my unit 67 for more. It's surprisingly quiet, even with the sustain right up. The mid hump works beautifully with my fender amps and it is just very, very toneful and addictive to play. I'm recording with it next week too so looking forward to that. Thanks for making this masterpiece, I can't understand why I don't see it talked about much more online?!. Thanks for the advice when I messaged you last year.
