touch-sensitive gain with a classic, mild, cranked-amp voice

The Skreddy Pedals™ Hybrid Overdrive cleans up extremely well with the guitar volume and has an authentic rock voice like a huge early 70's British tube amplifier.

This circuit has less gain and more headroom compared to the Skreddy Major Overdrive.  Sounds nearly identical to the Hybrid Fuzz Driver (same oldschool-silicon-germanium fuzz stage) but has a stronger tone control for less high-end fizz and better ability to darken at min, an ever-so-slightly stronger low-midrange, and it stays punchy and cutting even at max gain, never gets mushy.

Has a singing, vintage voice with plenty of gain just shy of fuzz and gets along with all kinds of pickups.  The tone is focused but balanced.  The attack is amp-like and cutting with dynamic overdrive that responds intuitively to guitar volume, pickup selection, and picking technique.

Very reactive to the touch; notes are sweet, chords have excellent string separation, and there is plenty of crunch and growl while holding together and not going fuzzy and compressed.

Power

Regular 9v negative ground, no special power requirements. 9v battery is not included. If you use a battery, then remember to un-plug the input cable from the pedal’s input jack when not in use to prevent draining (or you can also just plug in a power-supply, which disconnects the battery).

You may supply external power through an AC adapter. All Skreddy Pedals accept the industry-standard 9v DC plug (5.5mm barrel x 2.1mm center coax), negative tip. Please use a quality, regulated, filtered power supply.

"Today I was really focusing on all the different parameters to my skreddy hybrid Overdrive. I really worked on fine-tuning the sounds that I'm trying to achieve and I was able to get this most beautiful sustaining warm violin kind of sound accompanying My Touch kind of style. I have commented that I have for years used the Hermida Zen pedal and I will never put anybody's pedal down and the Zen is a fantastic pedal. My style I'm not particularly a super-fast player. I like to squeeze the notes out you might say, it's my inability,my handicap as a guitarist This pedal can really get some tone. I know many people use it for rock and Metal and every genre of music but for those who enjoy playing a Chicago jumpstyle Blues with some outside Fusion mixed in the soloing this is your pedal. I'm able to get a sound something crossing a Dumble, Carol Ann , and Cornford tone. What I love about this pedal is that I can turn the volume way down like if your turning the blues way down and it just gets a beautiful tone even at a low-volume for lack of a better term it just doesn't bleed out doesn't choke the pedal doesn't get that cheesy kind of break up sound. It's the most solid hybrid overdrive I've ever played. My Friends Ask Me are you just out hyping the pedal and I tell them you know me better than that. I play this pedal because I like the way it sounds. So what I suggest is find out for yourself."
