Price Reductions!
The Echo and
Paradigm Shift
both get a $26 price cut today. We are willing to shave our profits on
these (perhaps only on a temporary basis?) in order to get more into the
hands of users who have passed them up because of price. They
are both labor intensive and have high parts costs, but I hope we can
support these lower prices for the time being.

Top Fuel back on the menu
After a long hiatus from the main menu, the Top Fuel's back again.
Why? I sat with it for a couple of days and re-tweaked it. I
removed a bit more bassiness at the input, opened up the tone control a lot
more so there's no constricted feeling, and trimmed a bit more harshness off
the high end. I like it now! Very tight, articulate, modern,
high gain, and open, with a powerful, screaming midrange that works in all
pickup positions. I hope you enjoy it...

Screw Driver and Lunar Module on hold
Making a new version of the Screw Driver and Lunar Module pedals.
Stopping all direct sales of them temporarily until new version is released.

Bass Players!
Did you know: The Skreddy Pedals Supa
Tone makes an awesome bass fuzz/distortion? It does not cut your
low end (with the tone knob at noon or lower), unlike most fuzz pedals, and
it retains punch and dynamics (it doesn't turn your bass into a
compressed, droning buzz). An interesting side effect also is that you
can use the tone knob to control the level of fuzz, which is only present in
the higher frequencies. You'll probably want the tone knob set down to
9:00 o'clock-ish for huge bass with still a generous amount of fuzz on top
or turn it lower to trim that fuzz if it's stepping on the guitar's mix.

Shipping Charges
All orders placed after July 16, 2011, 1:00 PM Pacific Time, will have actual
shipping charges added to the balance due when your pedals are completed.
This will include all domestic and international orders. We ship
domestic packages via USPS Priority Mail with Signature Required, and
international packages via USPS Global Priority (where available).
Some countries are a lot more expensive than others to ship to, and if yours
is one of those, we may give you the option of receiving your package via a
slower, less expensive method. Our postage costs have increased a
great deal since 2004.

New Product
After about a year in development, it's finally ready for release...

May 23 2011
We will stop shipping batteries in our pedals for all orders placed as
of Monday May 23 2011.
This will save us a ton on shipping and is better for the environment.
I apologize to those of you who only use batteries, and I highly suggest
that the brand of battery you use in our pedals is Energizer.
Other brands tend to be a tiny bit larger and harder to fit inside the
pedal.

In other news...
The month of June was very exciting for Cynthia and me; we moved into
a beautiful house she and I purchased together. We are super happy and
love it. I apologize, though, that June also kept me so busy that I
had almost no time at all to spend doing emails. I will be going back
into my unanswered emails and confirming orders, etc., in the coming week.
Thank you all for your support!!! Without your
patronage, we could never have made it into our new home.

After a long month's delay (I was planning on December deliveries), the
Pig Mines that were ordered last July when I first opened the shopping cart
and got swamped overnight are finally trickling out to customers.
We're getting them shipped as fast as we can. Thank you all so much

Retiring the Top Fuel
(no it's not a joke) I'm just not liking this pedal any more. I'll
come up with something else in this vein soon.

By popular demand, the Screw Driver Deluxe (5 knob) is released
Thank you Chris Camm for coming up with the idea of moving the trim pots
up to the top for total control. This really brings the Screw
Driver into a new dimension of versatility.

Skreddy Echo is released
It's been nearly a year in the making. I'm really happy and excited
about sharing it with you. I truly believe it will help inspire music
making.

Retiring the Pink Flesh rather than re-formulating it
It's always been my policy to not continue a pedal line that (in my
opinion) depends upon a particular transistor's personality for its
signature tone, once their supply has run out. I was planning on continuing the Pink Flesh after I
ran out of its transistors and using modern parts tweaked for the same
target application (i.e.; it has to have a certain 70's feel, not a modern
feel).
After several rounds of experimentation, I've found that of course I can
get plenty of nice Big Muff tones out of any number of different circuit
permutations and various types of parts. But nothing that particularly
satisfied my target application, considering the time constraint I'm under
to release it. So I've decided to backpedal on my previous idea
and that it is much simpler for me and fairer to all my customers to only
have one version of the Pink Flesh out in the wild. No confusion over
versions and dates and parts, just one Pink Flesh pedal. When it's
gone, it's gone, just the same as the Mayo and the ? Lady.
For the time being I'm going to give the Big Muff design a rest and
concentrate on getting out orders and finishing up another major project
that's been on the back burner for several months.
I've determined that the cache of transistors I've accumulated is
adequate for filling all pending orders for the Pink Flesh and Mayo and ?
Lady pedals.

Lunar Module is officially released.

Transistor Troubles Lead to Design Improvements, Product Retirements
My supply of transistors that I use for Mayos, Pink Fleshes,
and ? Ladys has unexpectedly dried up. The latest batch did not meet my gain
requirements, and it doesn't look like there's any more reliable stream of these
parts forthcoming.
I'm going to discontinue the Mayo and ? Lady pedals for
the time being unless and until I find something else suitable to build them.
Pink Flesh Pedal Continues
I plan to keep going with the Pink Flesh, and I have many
ideas and many parts that I am currently working with to finalize the its
formulation. Right now, it is on hold for a short time while I polish and
perfect it.
